Lovin' The Language Blogfest

Jolene B. Perry is hosting her first ever Blogfest where we each share five lines (our darlings) from one of our WIPs. I'm going to cheat a little and share one line from each of my five books/WIPs.

Frog Kisses and Fairytale Misses:
His grin was so obvious, it wouldn’t have surprised me if you could read Don’t Trust Me on his teeth.

One Hundred To-Dos:
His classmates at the table continued to stare at me, no doubt wondering what caliber level of bitch it took to get Greg Miller to shoot off like that.

Social Disorder:
"A paralyzed toad has more sensitivity than the two of you put together.”

Cheater Beaters:
A hint of a breeze hit my cheek, cool against the embarrassment of becoming just another girl to fawn over Keith Johnson.

Earthbound:
Lyle shook his head, one earbud in and the other dangling—as usual, half in our world and half in his own.

What about you? Care to share any of your darlings?

  14. Thanks, everyone, for reading. This was fun.

I'm glad I could make some people laugh...that is a huge compliment, along with that I'm saying much with few words (which is always my goal) and saying that you want to read more. Thanks all :)

Meredith-as for paralyzed toads...that one sort of just flew out of my head and onto the page...I suppose it was an unconscious exaggeration of toads being considered cold/unfeeling.
