Now, YA Highway's Road Trip Wednesday topic this week is a choice. "5 Best Books of 2010" and/or "Sum Up Your 2010 in a Book Title."
I'm going for the second short and easy one. It's the thing I've found myself saying to friends and family all year when they ask me how I'm doing (the kind of friends and family you answer that question truthfully to, anyway).
The book title for my 2010:
SLOGGING THROUGH MUD IN HIP BOOTS
Yep, that was me...working hard but moving slow...If only I had the glutes to show for it. Here's hoping I can leave that title behind with the old year.
Don't forget to comment on which book(s) you want!

Really evocative title, even if it meant a difficult year for you. Hope this year is superb.
ReplyDeleteI've been dying to read a book by Sherman Alexie, because I read his other book was banned. And that just makes me mad.
I love your 2010 title and the reasoning.
ReplyDeletePerfect Chemistry's been sitting on my "to buy" list, so that would be awesome.

ReplyDeleteI like your title. :)
Ha, slogging through mud...if that isn't the perfect publishing industry metaphor, I don't know what is!
ReplyDeleteHello Jennifer! happy new year! put me up for Perfect Chemistry or Intertwined (only if you're making this contest international, please). The first one because I added it recently to my wishlist, after seeing it's trailer at Goodreads - it's hilarious; and the second because I've never read anything by Gena Showalter, but keep hearing about her, over and over. Thank you!
