Debut Author Challenge #9

Number nine on my debut author list came from Audible. (Entwined was from my library, BTW)

It's A Long, Long Sleep, by Anna Sheehan:

In this Dystopian version of Sleeping Beauty, a girl wakes up after being cryogenically frozen for one hundred years, only to find out that her absentee parents are still managing her, even from the grave.

I loved the clever premise, and there were some surprising twists to keep things interesting. Overall, a great listen.

What about you? Read/Heard this one? Any other debut favorites?

  1. Whoa, helicopter parents from the grave? That is a clever premise!

  2. How have I not heard of this one? Sounds like I would love it.

  3. I haven't heard of this one either! Thanks for the review!

  4. I haven't heard of this either but it sounds interesting!

  5. I've heard of it! It's getting great reviews, and has just debuted. It's even published in Germany and France! I haven't read it yet, though I plan to. :)
