Letter to My Future Self
Dear Future Me,
I'm so tired now, self. Motherhood, the house, money, writing...struggling to balance it all.
The problem is, I don't really want to tell you, my future self, a thing. What I want is for you to write me and say it's all going to turn out fine. That I'm making the right choices. That it's worth it in the end.
Of course, I just had to make this letter all about me, didn't I.
Maybe you should send me a message to get over myself and relax because I might miss all this someday.
Or maybe I just sent that message to myself.
Love,
Me

You should write a book about receiving letters from your future self. It might be interesting.
ReplyDeleteGreat, honest letter. I hope your future self replies with what you'd like to hear. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that's something we all want - to know it's worth it in the end.
ReplyDeleteHa! Maybe you SHOULD write a letter FROM the future! I'd be interested to hear what you come up with :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating!
I also asked my future self for a letter! I need some assurance over here in the present!
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Wouldn't it be nice if our future selves could tell us it was all worth it?
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired too. I'm hoping my future self will get lots of sleep. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that's what I would say too.
ReplyDeleteYes! I want my future self to write to me. That would make everything so much easier.
ReplyDeleteVery wise. Life really is a balancing act, I'm realizing. I hope you are able to relax soon and find a way to cram it all in ... comfortably. :)
ReplyDeleteAmy
I hope future self writes back and tells you all the good juicy secrets. In the meantime, hang in there.
