Non-Fiction (Listen and Learn)

Thanks to an Evolutionary Psychology lecture series on CD, I recently learned that young children being picky about food, not wanting to mix their foods or eat spicy foods are all traits that, in our evolutionary history, kept children from eating questionable things their young stomachs couldn't handle.

Knowing your child wouldn't have died of food poisoning back in hunter/gatherer times may not help the aggravated parent of a picky eater, but it certainly makes good business for Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.

The best part for me was that I learned about this while slaving in the kitchen to feed my own picky eater :)

I like to know the why of things, especially when it comes to human behavior. Some of my all-time favorite Non-Fiction audiobooks include:

Some on my TBLT (To Be Listened To) pile right now are:

Clutch: Why Some People Excel Under Pressure And Others Don't

What is your favorite kind of non-fiction? Any recommendations?

  1. My favorite NFs are biographies. I don't read many, but the few I've read have been so good. I just finished Tina Fey's Bossy Pants - hilarious.
